Why Franklin Bronze Plaques? Can I get my plaque with a patina finish? What is the difference between standard plaques versus a custom order? Every foundry has certain patterns that are in stock such as an 8" x 10". These standard sizes are developed over time from the frequency of orders in that size. If you order a standard size the amount of time and materials used to create that plaque can be determined based on past orders. However, if you order an 8.5" x 6.2" plaque the entire order has to be manufactured from scratch which creates additional labor and material. Other custom items such as a special paint, design, artwork, additional proofs, borders and specific delivery time also create labor hours and overhead that is specific to that one order.
